Address verification enables the addresses of natural persons and legal entities to be verified. You decide on which address elements you would like to check and verify. If there are minor deviations, the correct street name, house number and postcode are provided.

Verifying personal address elements:

• Last name and first name (company name)
• Street / no.
• Postcode / town

Address verification is performed using a web service (REST/SOAP), is fee-based and requires a contract. This interface provides access to other address services (e.g. address quality verification, address maintenance). Address verification is ideal when combined with the free address assistant. Swiss Post’s address database is unrivalled in Switzerland in terms of quality and quantity. We use our address services to compare our address data with this database. We ensure we are in strict compliance with the legal requirements of data protection. We do not sell, rent or lease any addresses.

We use the very latest data from the street directory covering Switzerland and Liechtenstein for address verification as well as from our delivery database. We will notify you whether the address you have entered matches our delivery database.
