Manage the place and time of receipt online

Greater convenience for Swiss Post customers: from now on, you can determine online what Swiss Post should do with missed consignments. Customers can extend the collection period, have a consignment delivered a second time, forward it to another address, post office or PickPost point, or issue a single authorization so that a third party can collect the consignment. With the new online service, which is partly fee-based, Swiss Post takes account of the changing customer requirements for more flexibility when receiving a consignment.

Swiss Post customers can now determine online how and when they would like to receive their missed parcels and registered letters. You can extend the collection period, request a second delivery attempt and forward the consignments to another address, post office or PickPost point on the Swiss Post portal. In addition, customers can issue a single authorization to a third party electronically free-of-charge so that consignments can be signed for upon collection. Missed consignments can of course still be collected from the resepective post office within the period stated on the collection note. Services can also still be ordered by telephone.

Get your missed consignment by access number or QR code

In order to use Swiss Post’s new online service, customers simply enter the number printed on the collection note on the Swiss Post portal homepage under "Collection note" and then select the desired services. It is even simpler using a smartphone: install the free Post-App and use it to scan the QR code printed on the collection note – this will take you to the available services.

Greater convenience for customers

Increasing online retailing means that Swiss Post deals with significantly higher volumes of parcels. At the same time, customers also demand new logistics solutions and greater convenience when receiving their consignments. Managing missed consignments online is one of Swiss Post’s new services, which take account of changing customer requirements. Swiss Post has already introduced the pick@home service, which customers can use to have their return parcels collected by the postal carrier at home or from another address. Together with mail order businesses, Swiss Post has also developed an evening and Saturday delivery service. Furthermore, Swiss Post intends to deploy automated parcel terminals starting in late autumn, as previously announced. Using the terminals, customers will be able to hand in or pick up parcels around the clock.
